2x Platz 2 für Ruixiang [JE U11 + JD U11/U13]

Am vergangenen Samstag ging es für Ruixiang (U11) in die Längenholzhalle nach Herrenberg - zum 3. D-RLT (Einzel/Doppel) der Saison.

It was early Saturday morning, the sky was light cloudy which was similar to Ruixiang' thinking. It is his first time playing in D Range and first time playing double. How it will be? Never try, never know. Let's go and find out in Herrenberg.

There are about 80 players registered, majority are playing in U15 and above and only 4 boys in the U11 group.
The 1st round was not challenging for Ruixiang, he easily dominated and finished the game with 21:4 for both sets. So as the 2nd round, with the result of 21:6 and 21:8. To be fair, the two opponents are new beginners, who performed like Ruixiang a year ago. But this is exactly proved his progress from 1 year's training. The 3rd round, Ruixiang is playing vs David Eitelmann, his double partner. Both had played in last few tournaments and knowing each other well. Today Ruixiang actively practiced the combination of long & short. And minimized unforced errors. However David took the advantage from his powerful long drive and middle court smash, finished the match with 21:14 and 21:16. Both players enjoyed the match and appreciated the progress from each other.
Now it's time for Ruixiang and David to start their first double match. Due to lack of players, the U11-double is combined with U13-double. You can already tell the difference from the height. After 32 minutes, Ruxiang and David won the 1st round with 21:15, 21:17. The 2nd round were really tough for them, the opponents are 1st and 2nd winners from U13 single, however they still showed their capability not let the opponents to win the match easily, after 27 minutes the match finished with 21:17, 21:9.

Ruixiang finished his first D Range tournament in Herrenberg with 2nd place in U11 single and 2nd place in U11&U13 double with David. That is a new milestone he achieved. The sun came out again after a rainning afternoon and Ruixiang had a happy face. Great thanks to the long day coaching by Max and support from PSV.
